An intriguing short article in the Silicon Beat on exactly how VCs in the silicon valley are promoting plan reform via legal adjustments. I have already written regarding Khosla’s promotion of Proposition 87, now comes John Doer. It seems the VCs (at least in the silicon valley) have walked down this course in the past, and if Sean Garrett is correct, they have been fairly succesful in obtaining their means.
Silicon Valley’s education and learning and different fuel initiatives– What do you believe?
Doerr
Kleiner Perkins partner John Doerr, and former Kleiner Perkins companion Vinod Khosla are carrying on the practice of defending plan adjustment.
Doerr is supporting Recommendation 88, for a property parcel tax to profit education and learning. Khosla is supporting Suggestion 87, an aristocracy on oil pumped from California, as summarized in this item by the Mercury News.
Here is a wonderful testimonial by Sean Garrett, of 463 Communications in San Francisco, of the distinctly blended history of Silicon Valley’s legal efforts. His conclusion: When Silicon Valley sticks together, it gets its means generally.
So what do you men think? Are you in genuine inheritance tax for education?
